Whether this is your first time checking us out, or you’ve been with us your whole life, we are SO glad to journey with you! We hope to connect with you in worship, study, service and relationship in the days ahead and invite you to learn more about us on this site. On these pages, you’ll find out a bit more about our mission statement, how our major ministry areas connect with the life of First Presbyterian, as well as a little bit more about our membership/inquirer process. If you haven’t visited us yet, please click here to find out more about what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Held on the 4th Sunday of each month at 10:10, 11:25 and 11:40am, this brief, optional session is for those who aren’t sure if membership if for them, or who want to hear more about FPCA and the membership process before registering for On Ramp. It’s just 20 minutes, and leaders will be available to offer a tour of the building or answer individual questions. No registration necessary.

At our On Ramp class, you’ll learn about our beliefs, our ministries, opportunities to serve, and the vision of our church. On Ramp is required for membership at FPCA, but you can attend without any obligation. 2 ½ hours, held 4 times per year, at various times. Check the calendar on our website, contact the office, of see the Sunday bulletin for dates, times and to register. This session is free but registration is expected. Complimentary child care provided. Call the church at 610-395-3781 or email to register.

The dates for this year are:

Tuesday, March 3 – 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM

Sunday, June 7 – 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM

Wednesday, September 16 – 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM

Saturday, November 14 – 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Following On Ramp, you’ll reconnect with leaders and others considering membership at this celebration lunch or dinner. You’ll uncover your unique gifts, how you can use them to impact our community and our world, and learn more about how we, as Christians, can become a more faithful disciple of Christ. 2 ½ hours, held 6 times per year, at various times. Check the calendar on the website, contact the office, or see the Sunday bulletin for dates, time and to register. This session is free but registration is expected. OUR MISSION: First Presbyterian Church of Allentown is a diverse body of faith, living God’s love in the way of Jesus Christ. We do this through worship, study, service and relationships for the common good of our community and the world.

Being a diverse body of faith means that we have a diverse expression of worship in 3 different languages (English, Arabic and Chin (Burmese) and at 6 different times on Sunday mornings. All are welcome to participate in the worship life of FPCA in whichever way you feel you most authentically connect with! Click on the “Worship” page to learn more about the worship life of FPCA!

We grow and learn through study, whether you’re school age and participating in church school at 9:00 AM on Sunday mornings, or if you’re joining with others in bible study on a weekday, or even if you’re more drawn to seasonal small group studies offered in this community. Service is an important part of the community that is First Presbyterian Church of Allentown. Our mission teams are active in Allentown, throughout the Lehigh Valley and across the globe. We serve as teachers, leaders, readers, musicians, greeters, and more within the context of our own community. Relationships are vital in any healthy body of people, and we are committed to building those relationships together for God’s glory and to proclaim the message of Christ to the nations together.
