Church Leadership

Leadership Structure

The church leadership of FPCA is focused on teams, with those teams dedicated to a specific church ministry area. Each team is spiritually led by an Elder (session member) working in tandem with a dedicated staff member of the Executive Leadership Team. Each ministry area team consists of various sub-teams, each relating to a specific function of that ministry area. For example, the Finance team is spiritually led by an Elder and supported on staff by the Executive Director of Finance and Administration. The Finance sub-teams consist of the Annual Giving team, Planned Giving team, Budget team, Property team, etc. Each sub-team is focused on a particular goal, which is then reported to Session through the Elder responsible for that team. This leadership structure was implemented as of May 1, 2014. All Elders, team leaders, staff and other leaders in the congregation participate in an annual leadership training called “The Next Level” held every spring. The matrix below represents our current leadership structure, followed by descriptions of the ministry areas and corresponding subteams.
