Tony recently preached on “What Kind of Clothes are you Wearing?” To kick-off this year’s CROP Walk on Sunday 26 September we want you to wear or bring in your favorite CROP T-shirt. A special Minute for Mission involving the congregation is planned. We wish to recognize our CROP supporters and wear our colors to help fight hunger !
Please stop by the Atrium to sign-up for the CROP Walk and pick up donor sheet(s) and other information. Youth members (6th through 12th grade) will receive CROP materials from their leaders during fellowship. CROP materials will be available in the Atrium through October 10th. CROP volunteers will be at the Atrium Sunday mornings between services or you can follow the “Self serve” directions any other time. Please contact Ed Noga @ 610-967-6053 if you have any questions or wish to help the First Pres. CROP team.
Walkers have the choice of walking the traditional 10K walk (6 miles) or the shorter “Golden Mile” (1 mile) alternative . If you can’t be present October 10 or are unable to physically do a walk, please make a donation to CROP using the pew envelopes or sponsor other walkers.
We continue to experience increased hunger needs in our community due to current economic conditions. 25% of your CROP donations are given to the Lehigh County Conference of Churches to help fund the Allentown Ecumenical Food Bank and the Soup Kitchen. Walkers are also encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to the CROP Walk to fill a large truck for the Food Bank !
Thanks for your help in fighting hunger !!!
