The purpose of Adult Christian Education at First Presbyterian Church is to strengthen discipleship. We seek to motivate and prepare adults to serve their families, church, community, and world in the name of Christ. We provide a variety of educational opportunities within an open and nurturing environment where searching is encouraged.
There are opportunities on Sunday and throughout the week for a wide range of studies. We offer courses in: the Bible, relating faith and Christian teachings to current issues, and developing skills for Christian living.
The tree planted by running water is a symbol of the community of faith. The living water is offered by Christ, and the church is a conduit through which the waters flow. Many different ways of study bring these living waters to us, including worship, small groups, lecture, personal devotions, reflection with other believers, and simply setting aside time to study God's Word.
Attend several types of study and find one that suites your needs. You are welcome to all sessions. Please contact an Adult Education Ministry member for information and assistance.
